Northland Scaffolding has been building Northland for over 20 years. We're one of the most established scaffolding companies in the region, with crews in Whangārei and Kerikeri. We're always keen to hear from certified scaffolders who want to keep developing their skills and take their career further.

The Work

No two days look the same here. We work across residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects — new builds, re-roofs, bridges, hanging scaffolds and complex access structures. You'll erect and dismantle to drawings and spec, check your own work, and work with other trades to keep the site moving. 


It's hands-on work at heights, done properly and signed off properly, alongside the rest of our crew who back each other up on site.

We have pathways for progression from Yard man to Project Manager or beyond.


We make sure our people get the opportunity to enrol in their certifications and the support to see it through —

How We Invest In You:

  • Experience on complex and challenging projects.  Your not stuck doing the same scaffolds over and over, we do a wide variety of projects that will challenge your skills.
  • Block courses covered. When you're working towards your next certification, we pay you for the time you take off to study.
  • Accomodation costs. If a course means staying away from home, we cover your accommodation.
  • Licence tests paid for. We cover the cost of sitting your driving tests, and once you hold your HT licence, that comes with a bonus on your hourly rate.

What We Look For:


  • A current NZ scaffolding certification or an equivalent international qualification.
  • Working at Heights Certified
  • Real experience on the tools and a drive to keep building your skill set.
  • Layher experience is an advantage.
  • A full driver's licence; an HT licence is well rewarded here.
  • New Zealand Resident living in Northland.
  • Show up every day keen to be part of a great team culture.
  • Specialist skills and qualifications like - Permit Receivers, Confined Space, Traffic Management, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Shrink wrapping.


We're primarily looking for people who already hold a scaffolding ticket, but if you've got solid hands-on experience and can show us you're serious about growing in the trade, we still want to hear from you.
