When the Whangarei Town Hall was damaged by fire in October 2019, we had a full temporary roof structure in place by November — protecting one of the region's most significant heritage buildings while repairs and investigations were carried out. The scaffolding remained in place until April 2026, making it one of the longest running temporary structure installations in Northland.
Every roof structure project we undertake starts in-house, with our team developing concept designs using 3D modelling tools to work through the geometry and constraints before anything goes to paper. Those concept designs are then handed to our specialist scaffold designers who produce a formal design, which is independently checked by a structural engineer to produce a signed off, Issued for Construction package.
The entire process follows our own documented design and procedural control system, developed in alignment with the New Zealand Temporary Works Forum Good Practice Guidelines — the same framework used by New Zealand's largest contractors and engineering consultancies.
For the shrink wrap itself, we use recyclable products and have both in-house installation capability and established relationships with trusted specialist subcontractors.
