Safety Netting

Internal Fall Protection Safety Netting

Falls from height are the leading cause of serious injury and death in the New Zealand construction industry. Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, everyone on a construction site has a duty to eliminate fall hazards as far as is reasonably practicable — and internal fall protection safety netting is one of the most effective ways to do that on new builds and commercial construction projects.

Northland Scaffolding supplies and installs GAPrie safety nets, which meet all required New Zealand standards for internal fall protection. Safety nets are installed horizontally inside the roof structure of a building, providing a continuous fall arrest system that protects workers from falling through open roof framing, purlins, and other unprotected areas during construction.

Unlike edge protection alone, internal safety netting provides coverage across the full working area underneath the roof — giving builders and tradespeople the confidence to work safely at height.

Our safety net installers are trained and experienced, and in most cases we install safety netting as part of a broader scaffolding package — meaning you get your full fall protection solution from one contractor, with one point of contact and one invoice.

If you're a builder or main contractor planning a new residential or commercial build in Northland, talk to us early in the project so we can plan your scaffolding and safety netting together from the ground up.
